- Find your card
You have a deck, you are one card short, and the card refuses to turn up in any booster you open. In most countries you would walk into the local shop. In Bulgaria it depends on which city you live in and which game you play. This is the honest map of the real options for a buyer in Bulgaria, checked on each source's own page today, with the pros, the cons and the costs. No top 10 rankings and no made-up shops.
If you are buying from elsewhere in Europe, our other guides cover the EU as a whole, such as where to buy Pokémon cards in Europe. This page is Bulgaria only.
The short version: which channel for what
| Channel | Best for | What it costs | The risk |
|---|---|---|---|
| Facebook groups | one specific card from a player | the price you agree | paying a stranger up front |
| Cardmarket | huge choice, exact edition and condition | shipping set by Cardmarket, plus a protection fee | waiting for a parcel from abroad |
| Local store or club | a card for this weekend | shelf price | they may not have your card |
| OLX and bazar.bg | bulk and sealed product | the price you agree | prepayment, little checking |
| Foilio shops | Dragon Ball, Riftbound and Cyberpunk TCG from Bulgaria | the shop's price, you pay the seller | no Bulgarian shop for other games today |
Facebook groups: fast, noisy, trust-based
Groups are where someone writes "I have two, message me" and both are gone five minutes later. The upside is asking for one exact card, sometimes at a better price than any shop. The downside is that you rely on photos and on a stranger's reputation.
Yu-Gi-Oh! has the most organised scene. An article by Stratos Games about where Yu-Gi-Oh! is played in Bulgaria lists five groups. I opened their pages today:
- Yu-Gi-Oh! Trade Bulgaria, for trading and selling, showed its name;
- Yu-Gi-Oh! Велико Търново, for Veliko Tarnovo, showed its name;
- Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Bulgaria, the national group, and Yu-Gi-Oh Ruse sit behind a Facebook login, so I list them on the strength of the Stratos Games article.
For Magic, One Piece, Lorcana, Dragon Ball and Riftbound I could not confirm a Bulgarian group from the group's own page, so I am not linking one. I would rather send you nowhere than to the wrong place.
The rule for any group deal is the same: ship by Speedy with the "Отвори" (open) option, so you can inspect the parcel before paying. Sellers see groups from the other side in our guide to selling cards in Facebook groups.
Cardmarket: Europe's warehouse
Cardmarket is peer to peer. According to its new user guide you buy from other users, not from Cardmarket itself. Offers are sorted from cheapest to most expensive including shipping, and you pay by bank transfer, PayPal or credit card within seven days. Bulgaria appears in both country lists of the shipping cost calculator.
What you pay on top of the card:
- Shipping. Sellers do not set it. The same page says it is set by Cardmarket's system.
- Packaging. 0.30 € for a letter under 100 g, 0.50 € for a letter over 100 g or a registered letter, and 1.00 € for a parcel.
- Registered shipping. Mandatory for any shipment worth more than 25 €.
- Trustee Service. Cardmarket holds the seller's payment until you confirm the parcel arrived. It applies to orders over 25 € and to the first five sales of any new seller, and the buyer's fee is 0.5% of the merchandise value, or 1% if the postal insurance is lower than the shipment value.
How many cards fit in one letter? Per the shipping page, up to 4 cards in a letter up to 20 g, up to 17 up to 50 g and up to 40 up to 100 g. So three cards are a letter, and a full deck is something else.
The maths is simple. For a single card worth two or three euros, Cardmarket is a poor deal, because shipping and packaging can exceed the card. Buying ten cards from one seller pays shipping once, and then it makes sense. That is why people on Cardmarket build one basket per seller.
Local stores and clubs by city
Everything in this table comes from the venue's own site or page, read today. Sites show which games a venue serves, not which singles are in stock, and none of the online catalogues I checked had a singles section. Message them before you travel.
| City | Where | What its own site says |
|---|---|---|
| Sofia | Hobby Games, Mladost 3, bl. 389, shop 9, open daily 10:00 to 22:00 | daily events for Yu-Gi-Oh!, Pokémon, Dragon Ball Super, One Piece and Digimon |
| Sofia | Goblin Card Vault, Akad. Konstantin Pashev 7 | Magic, tournaments listed on Unity League |
| Sofia | BoardGames.BG, Krum Popov 75 | Magic and Riftbound sections, in-store pickup |
| Veliko Tarnovo | Stratos Games, Maria Gabrovska 2A | weekly tournaments for Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG, Magic and Star Wars: Unlimited |
| Burgas | Club Aurora, Tsar Asen I 25 | Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh! and Lorcana mentioned |
| Ruse | Board Games Ruse, Aleksandrovska 62 | Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Flesh and Blood, Riftbound, One Piece and Lorcana in its card game section |
| Varna and Sofia | Chobanov Games, Praga 15 in Varna and Veslets 36 in Sofia | board game and card game club, with Magic |
If you live in Sofia or Veliko Tarnovo, the local guides have more detail: Sofia and Veliko Tarnovo. They are written for sellers, and in Bulgarian, but the venues are the same.
OLX and bazar.bg: for bulk, not for precision
Classifieds are good for a pile of cards or for sealed product. For one specific card they are a lottery. Bazar.bg states that it has no online payment for goods, and money moves only by cash on delivery through the courier or in cash in person. That works for you if you choose cash on delivery with inspection. The seller's view of these sites is in OLX, bazar.bg or a card shop, in Bulgarian.
Events: the market at the table
The most natural place to buy singles is the tournament table. Stratos Games say the shop runs weekly tournaments for Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG, Magic and Star Wars: Unlimited. Goblin Card Vault posts its Magic events on Unity League, the latest on 31 October 2026. Schedules change, so check the current one before you go.
Foilio shops: one option, honestly
Foilio is a free platform of seller-owned shops, not a warehouse. You pay the seller directly, and Foilio takes no fee. Delivery and payment are agreed with the seller in the order chat.
The honest picture today: Delin Collectibles in Sofia lists Dragon Ball and Riftbound, with a 5.0 rating from 17 reviews and 106 orders. The shop shows Speedy at 2.99 € and a 5 € minimum order, and its header states "Inspect before paying", "Cash or card", "No declared value" and "Recipient pays delivery". Full disclosure: Delin Collectibles is the shop of Foilio's founder. For Dragon Ball and Riftbound it is a real local option, but compare it like any other.
The second Bulgarian shop, Nick's CyberPunk, is also in Sofia and sells Cyberpunk TCG singles, with in-person meetups in Mladost and payment in cash or by Revolut.
For Magic, One Piece, Lorcana and Yu-Gi-Oh!, no Bulgarian Foilio shop lists them today. Browse all shops, because new ones appear. In the meantime, Foilio has a free price lookup for every game at /game, with a Cardmarket trend as a reference, so you know a fair price before you pay anyone.
How to choose
- One card for Saturday's tournament: a local store or club, then a group.
- An exact card at a good price, no rush: Cardmarket, bundled from one seller.
- Dragon Ball or Riftbound from Bulgaria: the Foilio shops, then the groups.
- A large pile of cards: classifieds, with cash on delivery and inspection.
Before you pay anyone
- Check the price. Open the free price lookup and compare with the Cardmarket trend. For Magic there is a value guide and for Yu-Gi-Oh! another value guide.
- Ask for photos of the front and back, the edges and the surface at an angle. Conditions are explained in our guide to NM, LP and the other grades, in Bulgarian.
- Ship by Speedy with "Отвори". According to the Speedy price list the option is free with cash on delivery and costs 0.64 € with VAT without it. It does not apply to parcel lockers, so pick an office or an address.
- Cash on delivery is the price of the cards only. The fee is 2.4% of the amount, minimum 0.61 € when the seller is paid out by bank or at an office, and it is paid by whoever pays the courier. Paying by card at the terminal adds 0.96%. In Foilio shops that ship with Speedy, the recipient pays delivery and no declared value is set.
- Never prepay a stranger by bank transfer for an expensive card. Not even for "the last one". Especially not for "the last one".

FAQ
Where can I buy trading card singles in Bulgaria?
From a player in a Facebook group, from a local store or club if they have the card, or from Cardmarket for the biggest choice. Classifieds suit bulk and sealed product better than single cards.
Is Cardmarket worth it for one card?
Rarely. Shipping and packaging can cost more than the card. It makes sense when you buy several cards from one seller.
Is it safe to buy from a stranger in a Facebook group?
It is safer with Speedy to an office or address and the "Отвори" option, so you inspect before paying. Do not prepay by bank transfer for an expensive card.
Does Foilio sell cards?
Foilio does not sell cards itself. Seller-owned shops list them, and you pay the seller directly. Today the Bulgarian shops cover Dragon Ball, Riftbound and Cyberpunk TCG.
Are there Bulgarian groups for every game?
No. I found Yu-Gi-Oh! groups through the Stratos Games list. For the other games I could not confirm a group, so I do not link one.
