What is your collection actually worth?
Foilio values your entire collection at live reference prices, breaks it down by game, surfaces your most valuable cards, and exports a dated appraisal you can hand to an insurer, an accountant, or a buyer. Every major trading card game, in one statement.
Why appraise a card collection?
A collection is an asset, and assets should be documented. A current appraisal lets you add a home-insurance rider at the right value, settle an estate fairly, keep a cost-basis record for taxes when you sell, and negotiate from a real number instead of a guess. Prices move, so a dated snapshot matters more than a one-time count.
Foilio treats cards the way you would treat any portfolio: live EU and US reference pricing, allocation by game, and cost-basis profit and loss. Build your collection with the free search, import an existing list, or scan a stack, then come back here for the statement.
Reference values from free public catalogs, not sale records or a certified appraisal. For planning only, not financial advice.
Questions, answered
What is a trading card collection appraisal?+
It's a dated valuation of everything you own: the total market value, a breakdown by game, and your most valuable cards, priced at current reference values. Collectors use it for home-insurance riders, estate planning, a cost-basis record for taxes, or to know what a collection is worth before selling. Foilio builds it from your collection automatically and lets you export it.
Where do the values come from, and are they accurate?+
Values are indicative reference prices aggregated from free public catalogs (Scryfall for Magic, pokemontcg.io for Pokémon, YGOPRODeck for Yu-Gi-Oh!). They reflect the going market, not confirmed sale records, and they are not a certified appraisal. For insurance above a few thousand dollars, pair this report with recent comparable sales or a professional appraiser.
Can I export the appraisal as a PDF or spreadsheet?+
Yes. Foilio Pro unlocks a clean, dated PDF appraisal (print or save to PDF) and a full CSV of every card with quantity, unit value, line value and cost basis. The on-screen valuation, game allocation and top-holdings view are free.
Does it show profit and loss?+
If you've entered what you paid for cards (cost basis), the appraisal shows unrealized profit and loss: total cost versus current market value, with a percentage. You enter cost basis per card in your collection; cards without it are still counted at market value.
Do I need an account?+
No. Your collection is stored on your device. Sign-in is only needed if you want to sync it across devices. The appraisal is generated in your browser from your own data.
