Most of the Dragon Ball Fusion World cards you open are worth less than a euro. The handful that are worth real money all share one trait, and it is not the rarity printed on the card. In Bandai's newest Dragon Ball game, the rarity symbol on a card is the last place its value shows up.
Most of it is bulk

The rarity ladder has a hidden top rung
On paper the ladder tops out at Secret Rare, but its ceiling is $1,786, and every single card in the top ten is a "Super Alternate Art" parallel of a Leader or a Secret Rare, cards like the Gogeta:BR and alt-art Goku Leaders. The alt-art sits above the printed rarity symbol: a normal Secret Rare is about $95, but its Super Alt Art version can be ten to twenty times that. The rarity on the card is the floor, not the ceiling.
The chase Fusion World cards
The top of the market: a Gogeta:BR Super Alternate Art at $1,786, a Son Goku Super Alt Art Leader at $1,750, another Gogeta:BR Super Alt Art at $1,570, a serial-numbered Son Goku (Mini) at $1,441, and a Son Goku Super Alt Art at $775. The pattern is total: the alt-art parallel is the card that carries the value.
Why the alt-art beats the rarity
Short-printed alternate art of the most-loved characters is scarce and specifically wanted, which is the recipe for a premium in every game. It is the same lesson as the other Bandai game, Gundam, where the +/++ parallel is the whole market, and as a Lorcana Enchanted or a Pokemon Special Illustration Rare. The rarity symbol tells you the pack slot; the alt-art tells you the price.
