The Enchanted Premium: how much more is a Lorcana Enchanted card?
In Disney Lorcana, the chase card is the Enchanted — a foil-only alternate art of a card that also exists as a normal printing in the same set. Same character, same set. We matched 201 of them to their standard version to measure exactly what the Enchanted alt art is worth.
The Enchanted alt art is the whole card
The standard version of these cards trades at a median of just $0.35 non-foil ($1.23 in foil), effectively bulk. The Enchanted of the same card trades at a median $102. Comparing like for like (both foil), that is a median 66× premium; against the non-foil copy most players own, a median 235×. If you are opening Lorcana hoping to hit value, the Enchanted is the card; everything else is a playset piece.
The bump is biggest on the cheap cards
The Enchanted premium depends on how valuable the standard card already is. Enchanteds built on Rares run a median 105× their standard foil, and on Super Rares 97×; but Enchanteds built on Legendaries — cards that already carry value — run only 22×. The alt art still sets the ceiling every time; it just adds the most when the base card is bulk.

The premium swings with the base card: Elsa - Spirit of Winter has a pricey standard foil ($29) so its Enchanted is “only” 31×, while a bulk base like Winnie the Pooh - Hunny Wizard yields 3191×.
Method & sources
- We pulled every Enchanted card and every standard printing via the open Lorcast API (TCGplayer USD).
- We match by set, name and version, so each pair is the exact same card; the only difference is the Enchanted alt-art treatment (201 matched pairs across the first 12 sets with prices).
- The headline ratio is Enchanted foil ÷ standard foil (both foil), so a foil premium can never inflate it; we also report the ratio to the standard non-foil copy.
- Per card we take the ratio, then the median of the per-card ratios, robust to one extreme card.
- TCGplayer USD market price via the open Lorcast API. Valued 2026-07-05. Reference estimates for raw cards, not sold or graded records; prices move. Reproducible from the open API.

Are Disney Lorcana Enchanted cards worth more than the regular version?
By a huge margin. An Enchanted is a foil-only alternate art of an existing card in the same set. Across 201 Enchanted cards from the first 12 sets that have a market price, the Enchanted sells for a median 66× the standard foil of the exact same card, and 100% are at least 5×. Because both cards are foil, that entire gap is the Enchanted treatment, not the foil. Measured against the standard non-foil copy most players actually own, the gap is a median 235×. The typical Enchanted is $102; the standard version is near-bulk.
So is the standard version of an Enchanted card worth anything?
Usually very little. The standard printing of these cards trades at a median of just $0.35 non-foil ($1.23 in foil), i.e. bulk. The base card is printed in normal quantities, so supply meets demand; the Enchanted is short-printed and the value concentrates there. Pulling one Enchanted can be worth more than an entire binder of standard cards.
Does the premium depend on the card's normal rarity?
Yes, and in the direction you would expect. The Enchanted bump is biggest when the standard card is cheap (Enchanteds built on Rares run a median 105× their standard foil) and smallest when the standard card is already valuable (Enchanteds built on Legendaries a median 22×, because the base Legendary already carries real value). Either way the Enchanted is the ceiling.

Winnie the Pooh - Hunny Wizard from Fabled: its Enchanted trades around $1,245 while the standard foil is about $0.39, roughly 3191×. The most extreme ratios come from Enchanteds whose standard card is bulk; the pattern (Enchanted ≫ standard) holds across the board, not just the chase cards.

For each Enchanted card we compared it to its standard printing (matched by set, name and version) using the TCGplayer USD price via the open Lorcast API (TCGplayer USD market price via the open Lorcast API, valued 2026-07-05). The headline ratio is Enchanted foil vs standard foil, so foil-vs-non-foil never inflates it. These are reference estimates for raw cards, not sold or graded records, and prices move. We never scrape marketplaces and never invent a number; the figures are reproducible from the open API.
