Gundam Card Game 2026 Set Release Schedule

The Gundam Card Game's 2026 booster release cadence, including GD03 and the GD01/GD02 rereleases, and how the roughly quarterly schedule works.

In this guide

The Gundam Card Game is still young (its worldwide English launch was July 2025), so its 2026 release calendar is really the first full year of the game finding its rhythm. Here is what has been announced, with the usual reminder that Bandai's dates can shift and should be confirmed against the official Gundam Card Game site before you preorder.

The booster cadence

Bandai has been shipping a new Gundam Card Game booster roughly once per business quarter, with starter decks and extra boosters filling the gaps in between:

  • GD01: Newtype Rising: originally released July 2025, with a rerelease scheduled to ship in February 2026.
  • GD02: Dual Impact: originally released October 2025, also with a rerelease scheduled for February 2026.
  • GD03: the third main booster, expected to debut January 30, 2026.

That roughly-quarterly cadence, plus reprints of the earlier boosters to keep supply available for new players, is the pattern to expect through the rest of 2026.

Why the GD01/GD02 rereleases matter

For a card game this new, initial print runs sell out fast and singles prices on the earliest boosters can run well above a booster's actual pack odds would suggest. A scheduled rerelease is good news for anyone trying to build a deck without paying a scarcity premium on GD01/GD02 staples, and it is also a signal that Bandai is treating the earliest sets as an ongoing part of the format rather than a one-off collector's item.

Tracking your Gundam cards as new sets land

Because the game is new, most of its long-term chase cards have not been defined yet, value right now concentrates in foil and alternate-art versions of iconic suits and popular pilots from the first few sets. As GD03 and later boosters ship, a tracked collection is the easiest way to keep your want-list current without re-checking every set from scratch. A caution on early-game hype

With any new TCG, there is a temptation to call early sets "the next big investment." Bandai has not published pull rates or long-term print-run plans for Gundam Card Game, and a set this early in a game's life can still see supply catch up to demand. Treat any specific price claims about upcoming Gundam sets with the same skepticism you would apply to a brand-new game in any other collectible category.
