How Cardmarket fees work

Cardmarket takes a commission on the item price (not the shipping you charge), at a rate that depends on your seller level — 5% Private, 3% Professional, 1.5% Powerseller — capped at €100 per article. Becoming a Professional seller needs business registration; Powerseller is invitation-based for high volume. Selling the same cards elsewhere? Questions, answered

What are Cardmarket's seller fees?+

Cardmarket charges a commission based on your seller level — Private 5%, Professional 3%, Powerseller 1.5% — on the item price only (not the shipping you charge), capped at €100 per article. There can be optional fees on top (instant payout ≈ €0.35 + 5%, trustee service ≈ 0.5–1%). Rates are editable in the calculator; confirm your current level on Cardmarket.

Does the commission apply to shipping?+

No — Cardmarket's commission is on the item sale price only. The shipping you charge passes through to you, which is why the calculator separates the two.

How is this different from the eBay fee calculator?+

eBay's final value fee applies to the item AND shipping plus a per-order fee; Cardmarket's commission is item-only with a €100/article cap and seller-level rates. If you sell on both, compare your real take-home with each — the Foilio eBay fee calculator is one click away.
