How to Sell Trading Cards in Bulgaria and the EU Without Marketplace Fees

Facebook groups are messy and Cardmarket takes a cut. Here is how to sell your cards direct to buyers across the EU with your own shop and zero commission.

In this guide

There are two normal ways to sell trading cards in the EU today, and both cost you something. Facebook groups are free but chaotic: no catalog, no order state, forty Messenger threads for forty cards, and a scam warning under every post. Cardmarket has the buyers but takes a commission on every sale. This guide is about a third way that keeps the buyers and drops the fee.

Why the group post breaks down

A group post works for one card. It falls apart the moment you have a binder. Buyers cannot search it, cannot see condition or price at a glance, and cannot put five cards in one basket. You end up negotiating the same shipping question in five separate chats, and the post sinks down the feed by the afternoon. It is selling, but it is slow and it does not build anything you keep.

Why the fee matters more than it looks

A commission of a few percent sounds small until you sell steadily. On thin margin singles it is often the difference between worth selling and not. It also quietly sets the floor price: every seller on a fee platform has to price the fee in, which is why the same card is frequently cheaper from a direct seller.

The direct shop model

The alternative is your own shop with a single link you put under any post, in any group, on any platform:

  • A real catalog buyers can filter by game, set, condition, and finish.
  • One basket across many cards, so a buyer takes five cards in one order and one parcel.
  • No commission, you keep the full price.
  • Payment handled directly (cash on delivery with inspection locally, prepaid tracked shipping across the EU), so no platform holds your money.

You are not leaving the communities that already have your buyers. You keep posting in the groups, the shop link just turns each post into a proper storefront instead of a comment thread.

How to start in an afternoon

  1. Open a free shop →, it is your own link, no seller fee.
  2. Scan your cards to identify and value them fast, then set condition and price.
  3. Share the link under your existing group posts and to repeat buyers.

Buyers can browse the live shops and order across multiple cards at once. If you also want to be found by price comparison tools and other apps, Foilio publishes a public price feed for developers that links back to the exact card.

Price it right so it actually sells

Direct selling only beats a fee platform if your price is honest and current. The companion guide on what your cards are worth covers the method. For the EU angle specifically, prices differ between the US and Europe, which the data in US vs EU prices makes clear, so pricing to the European market matters. And when the order comes in, pack it properly: see how to ship trading cards safely.
