Pro · Arbitrage scanner

Two markets. One card. One price that's wrong.

The same card trades at a US price on TCGplayer and an EU price on Cardmarket, and the two rarely match. This scanner ranks the widest believable gaps across Magic, Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh, keeping only the ones whose edge survives fees, shipping and FX, so you screen real opportunities instead of paper ones.

These are independent reference estimates, not live listings and not trading advice. The estimated edge is already after a conservative cost haircut, but your real costs vary and a catalog or condition mismatch is the most common reason a gap is not real. Verify the exact printing at the source before you act.

*Est. edge is the reference gap after a conservative ~30% round-trip haircut (marketplace and payment fees, cross-border shipping, FX spread). Your real costs vary and EU import VAT can add more. These are independent reference estimates, not live listings, and a catalog or condition mismatch between the two markets is the most common reason a gap is not real. Verify the exact printing and condition at the source before you act. Not financial or trading advice. Of the widest believable gaps we surface here, 300 clear the modeled round-trip costs in this snapshot. Valued 2026-07-13 at the ECB rate 1.143.

Questions, answered

What is a card arbitrage scanner?+

A card does not have one price. It has a US price on TCGplayer and an EU price on Cardmarket, and the two venues rarely agree. The scanner finds cards priced meaningfully lower in one venue, then ranks them by the edge that would remain after a conservative estimate of the round-trip costs. It is a screening signal for where to look, not a guaranteed trade.

Can I actually make money from these gaps?+

Sometimes, but treat every row as a lead to verify, not a filled order. These are independent reference estimates (one number per market), not live seller listings. Marketplace and payment fees, cross-border shipping, EU import VAT, card condition and the FX spread all eat into a paper gap, which is why the scanner only lists gaps that still clear a conservative ~30% round-trip haircut. The single most common reason a gap is not real is a printing or condition mismatch between the two catalogs, so always verify the exact card at the source before you buy. Nothing here is financial or trading advice.

Why do the same cards cost different amounts in the US and Europe?+

Because they trade on two disconnected venues. A share of stock sits on one order book, so its price is arbitraged to a single number in milliseconds. A trading card sits on TCGplayer in the US and Cardmarket in Europe with separate buyers, separate supply, uneven sealed-product distribution and regionally scarce sets, plus a moving exchange rate. Nothing forces the two numbers together, so the same card can sit at two different prices for months.

How current is the data and how is the edge calculated?+

Every card with both a TCGplayer USD and a Cardmarket EUR reference price, via the open Scryfall API (Magic), pokemontcg.io (Pokemon) and YGOPRODeck (Yu-Gi-Oh), EUR converted to USD at the ECB reference rate (1.143, via frankfurter.app). We keep only believable gaps: the cheaper side is at least $3 and the gap is roughly 25% to 66%, because extreme single-card gaps are usually catalog or condition mismatches. The estimated edge takes the reference gap and subtracts a conservative ~30% round-trip cost (fees, shipping, FX); real costs vary and EU import VAT can add more. Reference prices, not sale records. Valued 2026-07-13.

Prices are independent reference estimates from the open Scryfall API, pokemontcg.io and YGOPRODeck (TCGplayer USD, Cardmarket EUR), converted at the ECB reference rate (frankfurter.app) at valuation. Not sale records, appraisals, or financial or trading advice. A companion to the cross-market radar and the US vs EU price study. Valued 2026-07-13.
